What Is MoldedFit? A New Approach to Tesla Floor Protection

Most floor mats are sold with the same familiar promises: custom fit, waterproof, all-weather and easy to clean. Those features matter, but when we started developing MoldedFit, we wanted to focus on something that is harder to communicate in a specification list: how a floor liner actually feels as part of the vehicle.

MoldedFit is SUPER LINER’s Refined Floor Protection System—a vehicle-specific liner platform built around three priorities: Fit, Feel and Finish.

Why did we create MoldedFit?

Tesla interiors are clean and restrained. An accessory can provide excellent protection and still feel visually added on. Our goal was to create protection that follows the vehicle closely and uses a material and finish that feel appropriate inside a modern EV cabin.

That led to a different development brief: engineer the liner like an interior component, not simply a barrier between shoes and carpet.

Fit: precision that feels factory

MoldedFit is developed around vehicle-specific interior geometry. The objective is a clean, secure fit around the areas that matter—footwells, console-side transitions, door-side edges and other contours—while maintaining safe clearance in the driver area.

A good fit should not need a giant logo or aggressive styling to announce itself. Once installed, it should simply look right.

Feel: premium you can feel

Photos cannot fully communicate material feel. MoldedFit uses a soft-touch TPE formulation selected for a substantial, flexible, rubber-like feel while remaining odor-free and practical for everyday use.

The intention is not to make the mat soft for the sake of softness. The material character is part of the overall cabin experience: flexible in the hand, substantial underfoot and visually restrained.

Finish: refined down to the details

Small details change the perception of a product. MoldedFit uses one-piece injection-molded construction, allowing the product geometry, molded edges, transitions and surface texture to be defined as part of the tool.

We chose a restrained matte texture rather than an overly busy pattern. The goal is to complement the Model Y interior instead of competing with it.

Molded as one

Unlike a conventional liner formed from a heated sheet, MoldedFit is injection molded into its final three-dimensional geometry. This manufacturing approach supports the clean edges and controlled details that are central to the product.

Injection molding by itself does not guarantee quality. Tooling, material formulation, vehicle data and engineering all matter. We chose the process because it supports the product we wanted to build.

More than the front footwells

MoldedFit is available in multiple configurations so Model Y owners can choose the level of protection that matches how they use their vehicle—from core floor protection to sets that extend into cargo, frunk, storage and seat-back areas.

For owners who carry kids, pets, luggage, sports equipment or everyday cargo, protecting those additional surfaces can be just as useful as protecting the driver footwell.

Who is MoldedFit for?

MoldedFit is designed for owners who want all-weather protection but also care about material feel, detail quality and how an accessory integrates visually with the cabin. It is not designed around being the cheapest floor mat available.

Our design principle is simple:

Engineered like the car itself.
